Gary Duke-Cohan
Formerly the senior partner of Myers, Ebner & Deaner, Gary joined Myers, Fletcher & Gordon as a partner in 2010 upon the merger of the “two Myers”.
Gary is a commercial litigator and sports lawyer. He also trained as a mediator. He acts in breach of contract, intellectual property and other commercial disputes. His largest claim was for circa £500 million (now £2 billion).
Gary is passionate about sports law, particularly football. Throughout his career, he has represented a number of professional footballers, managers, clubs, and agents. His clients have included overseas and Premier League players and clubs.
He has been a consultant to various clubs at board level and advises on transactions, as well as transfers, etc.
He has also represented athletes from other disciplines, including tennis and motorcycling.
Having studied French Law in Paris, Gary speaks fluent French and some German. He has a broad client base ranging from individuals to large corporations. As his practice areas indicate, his clients are based locally, nationally and internationally.
In addition, he is a specialist in clinical negligence and personal injury, where he mainly represents claimants but also acts for Defendant organisations. It is not unusual for Gary to achieve multi-million pound settlements.
As a senior partner of the firm, Gary remains willing to discuss your particular legal requirements.
