Akil joined Myers, Fletcher and Gordon in 2014 as a paralegal after completing the Bar Professional Training Course and being called to the Bar. Having made the decision to become a solicitor he has completed the Law Practice Course Conversion and is presently a Trainee Solicitor with the firm qualifying in 2018.
Having previously worked in the banking industry Akil has acquired a good understanding of financial services issues. Akil provides assistance to partners and fee earners in all practice areas but with a particular interest in Dispute Resolution and Business Law. He has worked on major cases, including international arbitration; High Court trials and appeals to the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council.
Akil has also gained experience dealing with corporate transactions, business immigration and intellectual Property issues. He is involved in the management of client files and is an able advocate.
Akil is currently based in the Dispute Resolution Group.
